Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold Albert Dog Clip

These types of clip were used in Victorian and Edwardian times to attach decorative pieces such as fobs and charms to a watch chain. With such days largely over (but not entirely!), these beautiful clips are often worn on a chain for attaching charms. This one can either be soldered onto a chain link or, for more versatility, most chains will fit through the large jump ring attached to this one. This dog clip does not swivel.

Hallmarks: Marked 375 & 9 and JG&S for John Grinsell & Sons.

Era: Edwardian.

Date: c.1910.

Condition: Very good antique condition – light wear comensurate with age.
