Victorian Swallow Paste Silver Brooch

This charming brooch from the turn of the century is set with a swallow resting on a crescent of sparkling paste. The bird has as red gem set eye and the whole effect is thoroughly delightful. It would look stunning worn against dark clothing and would definitely make the onlooker question if it’s the real deal…not that it matters as it’s such a lovely thing in its own right.
